Last Week Stay at Vancouver in 2010

    This is my last week stay at Vancouver in 2010. I found this week was too buzy, lots of homework came to my life. the homework press me can not breath. But I believe after this week I can have a good vacation. This week I will meet my friends and eat some food. this semaster I join a culture exchange program. And I known a girl who named Evenna. We have activity every weeks such as eat sushi, watch movie(I watched tha paranormal activity wirh her). I enjoy this culture very much and next semaster I want to continue taking part in. cleaning the room is very important too. I am afraid that during I leave my homestay, somewhere probably start grow up some mushrooms. Therefore, I have to clean that very carefully. Finally, I need to say Goodbye with my dear teacher Michael. I hope I can see you at 460 in next semester.

Christmas Plan

This Wednesday I will leave Vancouver and go back to China. So my Xmas vacation will start at Beijing. Actually, I want to travel to other provinces in China. but my mother said the temputure in China is too cold. And everywhere should be full of people. Finally, I give up that traveling idea. The plan about my Xmas vacation, to begin with, I will eat lots of delicious and tradition food in Beijing. I am really miss those Chinese food. Then I will spend more than 2 weeks stay with my parents. Because I decided that I will not go back to China next year. So I think my parents will missing me so much. Finally, I will traveling some famous places and take some pictures to make some memory. I know the weather will be so cold, so I am afraid I will become a lazy girl and stay at home everyday. That will waste my Xmas vacation. I hope I can have a wonderful vacation in 2010. I will being some intrersting photos for my friends.

Wonderful Vacation

     I did not traveled to lots of cities before. Actually, I am a lazy girl. I just like stay at home, find an interesting novel, drink some beverages. However, last year I was 'traveling' to another country by myself. That country is Canada, Nova Scotia, Halifax. This city is located at east coast of Canada, at the opposite side of Vancouver. That 'vacation' give me a deep impression. Halifax is a beautiful and peaceful city. That place is good for people retirement. That city does not have any crowded and bustle which is totally different with Vancouver and Toronto. Before I went abroad, I wanted to find a quiet place where have less Chinese that I can improve my English. Indeed, Halifax is a wanderful place for students study. At here is different with big city, the biggest shopping mall only have three floor. There is no attract in Halifax, students only think about hard study. If you like to eat some seafood, Halifax is your good choice. The fresh lobster is very cheap only $5 dollar lb. People can eat all kinds of fresh seafood.

Crazy Research Paper

Poverty in Canada. This is my first research paper homework in College. I have never done this work before. At begin I was a little bit eager this homework. Because I know that in the college and university do the research paper frequently. However, when I start to write the outline. I became feel so confusing. how to narrow the topic, how to choose the main ideas, and how to write the essay's structure. All of those questions I have no ideas. luckly, I have a good instructor, he told me how to narrow the topic and how to choose the essay structure. Finally, I spend more than 4 hours from choosing topic to finish the rough dreft. It is hard to discribe my mood when I write my first research paper. I think I need read more references about how to write a good research paper. Because I hate working overnight.

Cultural Mysteries

     When I stayed at China, my friends usually told me when you come to Canada you will find that too many different between our motherland. I found at the MacDonald，there are lots of old peole enjoy the food. However at China only young people perfer it. Because those old people think that all of the food sold at MacDonald are junk food. The second different is in the restaurants Canadian usually keep quiet or the sound of speaking often like whisper. Unlike, eating at Chinese restaurants people usually so noisy and speak so loudly. Therefore some foreigners can not understand why Chinese like this kind of atmosphere eating food. Next, at school or apartments people prefer to say hello with each other. In China, it maybe because of people feel too busy everyday then they have no time say hello with others. The fouth is the education system. In China, teachers usually follow students and make students hand in homework on time. However, when I came to Canada I found the education system is totally different. Students need to put their homework at teachers' desk before the class start. The last different is in Canada families uaually hold some reunion parties. For Chinese, only in some traditional festival the whole family can get together. Although, some of the new cultures I can not agree with, however, I will try my best to suit this kind of new lifestyle. 

The First Snow at Vancouver in 2010 Winter

Last night I met the first snow at Vancouver. When I decided to go back home from downtown the weather was starting rainning, but it was not heavy very. When I arrived at home my friends told me that it was snowing outside right now. I feel so exciting, cross the window I saw the snowing so amazing. A layer of white sonw on the street which looked very softy. At that time I was really want to go outside and left some footprints on the street. On the Saturday I decided went out side with peggy. We went to the metrotown and when we taken the sky train, the view was so beautiful. The soil became white carpet and all the trees wear a white cloths. Unfortunately, I forgot bring me camera so I did not take any picture.

Canadian culture effect on me

    Different country have different culture. My mother told me that I had to adapt a new atmosphere when I decided to came to Canada. The first time I arrived at Canada. The great environment made me feel amazing. It is totally differ between Beijing and Vancouver. For the culture between Canada and China. It is different too. Almost Canadian usually obey the rules such as public traffic rules. However, living at China, some drivers did not know that they should be slow down when they driving car cross the road. When I cross the road I have to pay attention. The second point of the Canadian culture effect on me that is people should be more independent. I China some young people when they guaduated from the universities. They still get money from parents. Unlike in Canada, when Canadian young people who grow up until 18 years old. Almost of them start leave home and find a job make money. Speak for myself, those culture made think about my life, my culture, and how to change it. Strat from now, I need to become more independent and follow the rules.
